The PS3 version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 was shelved back in June so the development team could focus their resources on getting the PC and Xbox 360 versions out the door. Well, with the game releasing on PC and 360 next week, does that mean it's time to start work on the PS3 version? Actually, yes.
C&C producer David Silverman assured Videogamer that "there's definitely people working on a PS3 version and we'll be talking more about that later." So there you go. "Definitely."
He also mentioned that, as a reward to PS3 owners for their patience, their version will come with various enhancements. "Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space."
Silverman didn't reveal an expected release date but it wouldn't be outlandish for us to expect it sometime in 2009. Red Alert 3 will be released on November 11th for PC and 360.
