Today EA revealed that a new standalone Red Alert 3 game is coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Command And Conquer Red Alert 3 Commander's Challenge is set to arrive in September and cost $10 (800 MS Points).

Commander's Challenge, which does not require you to own Red Alert 3 to play, gives you 50 different combat scenarios to test your skills on. You'll face off against nine different commanders, including pro wrestler "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Completing each scenario unlocks new units and technologies to use in the next challenge. The developers also provide "par times" for you to try and beat.

If this all sounds familiar, it's because the Commander's Challenge game mode was one half of the Red Alert 3: Uprising standalone expansion released for the PC in March. Uprising, which costs $20, also included four new mini-campaigns. It's possible those will be released as a separate DLC bundle for the consoles as well.
