EA announced today that Uprising, the standalone PC expansion to Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is now available for purchase. It's a digital-only release so you'll have to hit up the EA Store or another digital service of your choice.

Uprising continues the storyline of Red Alert 3 but, to reiterate, does not require you to have Red Alert 3 installed. It adds four mini-campaigns: three for each of the factions, plus a fourth starring Yuriko Omega, a Japanese schoolgirl who's been turned into a deadly psychic by the Empire of the Rising Sun. Players will control her in a "dungeon-crawler" campaign that has her escaping from a research facility.

The expansion also adds a Commander’s Challenge with fifty different scenarios to test players' skill. Sure, you can beat up the Soviet army just fine, but how will you stand up against a horde of giant bears? Completing scenarios will unlock new technologies, units, and challenges.

Uprising is priced at $20. EA hasn't indicated whether or not the consoles will get this expansion.
