Most Red Dead Redemption owners will tell you that the game plays a lot like a Grand Theft Auto game. It seems it sold like GTA, too.

According to Take-Two Interactive's second quarter financial results, RDR has sold over 5 million units. It's only been on the market since May 18th so that's pretty damn good. The sales aren't as huge as Grand Theft Auto IV - which sold 6 million in a week - but still impressive considering the Red Dead brand isn't nearly as well-known.

Strong reviews probably contributed to the game's success. It's sitting at a 95 Metacritic score.
