THQ and Volition Studios upcoming mutli-genre action title, Red Faction: Guerilla, is a hugely ambitious title. The game aims to do a heck of a lot and could be a milestone achievement in third-person shooting for this gaming generation. So to further explore the world in which the game takes place, a new dev diary video was released.
Realistically, RF: Guerilla has been one of the most under-promoted titles to come out for 2009. The game offers some massive gameplay options and an enormous playfield to explore all kinds of creatively destructive means. And while this game isn’t burning up the gaming news circuit the way KillZone 2 did, it certainly deserves all the hype Guerilla Games’ first-person shooter received. I’m not going to go through all the features of this title (considering that this isn’t a preview) but I will point out a few things that’s mentioned in the trailer: Firstly, the game takes place on a despotically ruled mars. So, as a rebel, there are a handful of sectors that players must take over and control in order to conquer the game. While it seems like a simple concept, the way the game plays out will seriously put a player’s wits and grit to the test. Another thing that the trailer points to is the ability to boost the morale of the rebels, this is done through sabotaging and/or destroying enemy emplacements, cargo shipments or supply routes. The morale of the rebels help with having more team members to deploy on missions and with making certain missions easier to tackle. The game is exceptionally deep and the developer diary only briefly scratches the surface for what Red Faction: Guerilla has to offer. We’ll definitely keep you updated on further news, info and media regarding this game, right here at Blend Games. |
