We know Wii Fit is on the way soon, and of course there’s Mario Kart Wii. But what else does Nintendo have up their sleeves for 2008? Will the rumored Animal Crossing make it out? Is there something else hereto unannounced that we’ve missed in our ruminations about Nintendo? According to Nintendo’s own Reggie Fils-Aime you should hold onto your seats come July when Nintendo unleashes its fall lineup at E3.
Speaking with Geoff Keighley on the latest GameTrailers TV, Fils-Aime teased the fanboy collective. Hopefully the truth behind the teasing is more than Wii Play 2 or Generic Plastic Shell Item #347.
”"There's gonna be a big game for the holiday that the gamers will want. All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited,” Reggie said.
So like…what is it? Are we getting F-Zero? Because despite what some at Nintendo Japan thought, the Gamecube game was fast and furious fun. I’d like a Wii version, please. Hell, what about a real Star Fox? None of that mediocre action/adventure crap. Give me an airwing and Falco as my wingman. Most likely we’ll see Miyamoto or Iwata walk out onto the E3 stage with the latest innovative control mechanism.

Interesting, yet another obscure hint from Nintendo. :p
I can't wait for Star Fox Wii, at all. I have to admit that I'm more partial to the on the rails shooting stuff, but it really ticks me of when people complain about Adventures! It was just different. I hate it when fanboys complain about new directions in games. They just want the same thing over and over *coughzeldacough*.
Anyways, it's alright to speculate on "big name" games, but, there are going to be several less-known games that are going to steal the show this year. Spore being the best example. I can't wait to play around with that game, it's going to be awesome.
My heart, though, is going to be for Beyond Good & Evil 2. If it gets announced. The first one was the best game ever made, and if you disagree you have something seriously wrong with you. If you've never played it, you're missing out on something special.
Those are the two games which I am going to buy the day they come out. And, of course, Star Fox Wii.
