Capcom announced today that Resident Evil 4 is coming to the iPhone. It will land in the App Store in Japan at the end of July.

According to Capcom's Twitter, the game will arrive everywhere else "shortly thereafter." The surprise was spoiled when the game was released to the App Store prematurely earlier this week. It was quickly yanked but AppBank got a chance to play it and recorded some footage. You can check that out below.

Resident Evil 4 will be the game in the series to hit the iPhone. The first was Resident Evil: Degeneration, an adaptation of the film of the same name.
