Resistance 3 is still months away so you've got some time to catch up on the series' storyline by playing the previous games. Insomniac Games released a retail bundle of Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 today.

The Resistance series depicts an alien invasion of Earth in the 1950's. Players control Sgt. Nathan Hale, an American soldier battling the invading Chimera in Britain in the first game and then America in the second. Resistance 3 will be a direct continuation of this storyline, albeit with a new main character. The trailer below offers an overview of both games.

R1 and R2 also feature large-scale multiplayer that support 40 and 60 player matches, respectively. Fall of Man's campaign supports off-line co-op for two players. R2 eschewed local co-op in favor of 2-8 player online co-op in a campaign completely separate from the single-player experience.

The Resistance Dual Pack can be purchased at all major retailers. The $39.99 package gives you both shooters as well as bonus DLC for the second game. The extra content includes the Aftermath multiplayer maps and skins for as well as an exclusive skin for the Wraith weapon.

The Dual Pack also gives you a little something extra for Resistance 3. The bundle comes with a token for an exclusive Joseph Capelli in SRPA gear skin. It'll let you stand out a bit in the multiplayer matches.

Resistance 3 will arrive on September 6th in North America, on the 8th in Australia, and on the 9th in Europe.
