Sticking it to the man on the virtual streets of Retro City Rampage just got a heck of a lot easier for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game have now been made available as part of the Instant Game Collection.
The PlayStation Network update went live a little early this week, giving everyone a chance to dive into the digital goodness a day early thanks to the Christmas holiday. You might find yourself left in the cold this week if you're not into copious amounts of virtual savings but, for those willing to drop a few bucks for their games and DCL, this week's Plus update offers quite a bit of options.
First up in this week's Plus update is the free stuff. As I mentioned before, everyone is getting a copy of Retro City Rampage, playable on both the home console and Vita, free of charge. Take control of the 8-bit hero, dish out criminal justice on the wild streets of a retro world and enjoy a story overflowing with gaming and cultural references in this top-down action game in the vein of the original Grand Theft Auto.
The rest of this week's Plus update features deeper savings on the ongoing PSN Holiday Essentials Sale, which means that you'll be able to pick up even more games for even less money. Highlights include Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty for $7.35, Mortal Kombat for $14.70 and Journey for $7.35.
