Today Spicy Horse Games released the first trailer for Return of Alice. Return is the sequel to the 2000 third-person action game American McGee's Alice.

Like this game is a dark, twisted continuation of Lewis Carroll's Wonderland books. Years after her first adventures in Wonderland, Alice has gone a bit insane and is now locked up in an asylum. Wonderland is a product of her imagination, apparently, and as she slippedi into madness the realm went to pot. She went back to slay the Queen of Hearts in the first game, perhaps hoping that it would correct her insanity, but apparently that hasn't set things right.

Return is due for a 2011 release for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Note that it has nothing to do with Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland film or its various video game adaptations.
