At the end of February, Rock Band Unplugged was announced for the PSP. Over a month later, Sony's dropped a new trailer on us as well as some concrete gameplay details.
Like other Rock Band games, Unplugged has players controlling the lead/bass guitars, drums and vocals for each song but unlike other games in the series, you're controlling all of them and there are no peripherals. You'll use the PSP's face buttons to play notes and the shoulder buttons to switch between them.
Unplugged players will be able to purchase new songs through an in-game music store via the PSP's Wi-Fi connection. The game will ship with 40 tracks, nine of which are exclusive to this game:
3 Doors Down - “Kryptonite”
AFI - “Miss Murder”
Alice in Chains - “Would?”
Audioslave - “Gasoline”
Black Tide - “Show Me the Way”
Blink 182 - “What’s My Age Again”
Freezepop - “Less Talk More Rokk”
Jackson 5 - “ABC”
Tenacious D - “Rock Your Socks”
Unplugged will be released on June 9th in North America and Europe. It will be sold separately and as part of a Rock Band PSP Entertainment Pack, which includes a Piano Black PSP-3000, a 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and a PSN downloadable movie voucher for the Jack Black comedy School of Rock.
