I have no idea how valid this information is. But the fact of the matter is it’s the smallest morsel of Gears of War 2 data. Hell, we don’t even know that the game will be made officially. Right now Epic is focused externally on Unreal Tournament 3. but some intrepid tipsters somehow have info on a map – I assume single player from the looks of it, but who knows? – and minor other items.

Before moving on, a quick warning: this is all just rumor and speculation. The info passed along to GameGuru may be a ruse to embarrass us. And seeing as how it’s late at night, there’s little chance to check up on the veracity of the claims. You can be sure the multitudes will sniff the truthiness of this one out by end of day tomorrow.

Gears of War 2 just might include:

• Unreal 3.5 engine
• 4 new weapons
• Twice the size
• Controllable Air vehicles

And a shitload more stuff. The map on display in the gallery below is called “Silent Night,” and has our intrepid heroes infiltrating a Locust stronghold. Hopefully to frag tag and chainsaw some ugly bastards. We’ll keep you posted on all things GoW as they come in.
