Everyone who loved those classic PSX games that made Sony a strong brand in the gaming industry will be in for a jolt of a surprise as some major gaming titles from the PSX era are planned to reappear on the PSN Store.

PlayStation LifeStyle is reporting that Sony has some big plans for the PlayStation Store featuring PSOne titles. Now to kick-start a new smorgasbord of PSX nostalgia, Sony is apparently releasing some big name titles that most Sony fans should be familiar with: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.

Those are probably as big as they get when it comes to mouth-watering gaming on the original PlayStation. And remember, this is PlayStation LifeStyle, the same people who first unveiled the PSP Go!, the new Ratchet & Clank game and a number of other juicy news items regarding Sony’s gaming products. So this rumor is more than likely going to solidify into a fact sooner rather than later.
