There hasn't been a Project Gotham Racing game for the Xbox 360 since developer Bizarre Creations was bought by Activision in 2007. However, Microsoft is finally looking to resurrect the franchise.
Develop reports that Microsoft has been holding meetings with indie European studios about a PGR revival. They have yet to decide on a studio, though. None of the developers that spoke with Microsoft were named in the article.
The most obvious solution would be for Microsoft to hand the project off to their subsidiary studio Turn 10. They probably want that company to focus solely on Forza, though, considering it's such a huge franchise for the 360.
