Rumor: Natal Launching In November 2010 With 14 GamesAuthor: Pete Haas

A new report suggests that controller-free motion technology Natal's release is only a year away. This and other launch information was revealed to British gaming news site MCV by anonymous sources.
MCV states that 5 million units will be ready for Natal's November 2010 launch. Fourteen Natal-supported games should be good to go by then, but it's not clear which ones. The expectation is that they'll be primarily first-party games from internal Microsoft studios like Rare. Microsoft intends to set the price at an "impulse buy" level. The Natal camera will retail for £30 - £50 ($50-$83) by itself. Natal will also be sold in bundles with Xbox 360 consoles. The information was revealed to MCV via a behind-closed-doors tour that Microsoft is giving to gaming companies. Microsoft hasn't officially announced any of these details (and will probably be sending out a thousand "no comment" emails to journos today) so take it with the usual grain of salt. |
