Woo, rumor-fight! Contrary to the gossip that the downloadable content for the 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV will be available this Fall, another source is now claiming it won't arrive until much later.
"It’ll be in January or February," the anonymous tipster told VG247. Not to be a dick, but why did people think it was coming this Fall in the first place? I'm not sure Microsoft believed it. Let's look at the quote from Microsoft's Leipzig press release: "In autumn there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE, underlining Xbox 360's leadership role in the field of digital entertainment."
The sentence is really poorly constructed and makes it sound like the DLC is coming in Autumn, but all they're actually admitting is that "there will be news." In other words, it was an announcement of an upcoming announcement. If the DLC was only a couple months out, don't expect Microsoft to slip vague details into the end of a press release. C'mon, Internet, you're better than that.
