An anonymous source told D+Pad Magazine that a price cut for next year was revealed at the Sony Computer Entertainment Staff Annual Briefing in London. SCEE President David Reeves reportedly told attendees that the PS3 will become more competitive in price starting next March.
Sony issued the following statement in response to D+Pad's article: “Information discussed within the confines of internal company meetings is confidential and subject to change. We do not have anything to announce at present and we do not comment on rumour and speculation.” If this price cut is legit, Sony's not likely to announce it until next year. After all, they want people to buy PS3's for the holidays and consumers might not do that if they know the console's going to be available for $50 bucks cheaper (or whatever) a couple months later.
