Rumor: Splinter Cell Conviction Demo Showing At GDC?Author: William Usher

Everyone who knows anything about Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell very well knows that Splinter Cell: Conviction is the game that acts like it will never come out. Despite hopes, inquiries into its progress and lots of speculation, no one seems any closer to knowing about this game than the next gamer over. However, recent rumors have been spilling across the vast space of the net that may suggest Splinter Cell: Conviction could be making an appearance as soon as the Game Developers Conference this year.
TheGameReviews recently uncovered a rumor at GameGuru that suggests that the espionage, spy-thriller could be demoed at GDC. They don’t exactly say where this information was uncovered from, but they suggest that the Assassin Creed 2 engine is being employed for the game. So what we have here is unconfirmed news about an Assassin’s Creed 2 engine being used in a game that no one has heard from since Alicia Silverstone had a career (or has it been longer?) and all of a sudden this game will be demoed at GDC? H’m. TheGameReviews thinks this rumor is bullocks and I’m inclined to think the same. For more gaming news, information and updates on the latest titles, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games. |
