Move over MotoGP, there’s a new two-wheeled graphic powerhouse in town and it’s called SBK Superbike World Championship. Milestone and Conspiracy Entertainment’s new motorcycle racing sim just received a brand new batch of super-smooth screenshots, and any skeptics would be wise to see just how good this game looks.
While I’m more of a street-racing fan, it doesn’t hurt to have a proper real-to-life racing sim in one’s collection. And if I must say so myself, SBK would be a mighty fine addition to one’s collection if graphics were the only thing that mattered. However, a good racing simulator needs more than pretty visuals to captivate motorsport fans. So that’s why Milestone has ensured that game will come jam packed with plenty of real-world tracks, realistic weather conditions, and easy-to-learn controls for casual gamers as well as difficulty settings suited for hardcore racing aficionados.
Now the screenshots are supposedly for PC and “next-generation consoles”. Based on the lighting module and the texture depth, I’m guessing this game will be appearing on the PlayStation 3…but that’s just me guessing. Another version of SBK Superbike World Championship will also be available for the PSP, a little later on this year.
