It seems like this game could just never make it to its release. But after lots of coverage, tons of screenshots and more than enough setbacks, it’s finally available for PC. With the milestone of making the game publicly available well behind them, CDV was kind enough to release the entire intro sequence for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
Featuring 3/4 view adventuring, classic RPG leveling, real-time action and an open-ended world to explore, Sacred 2 is like a reincarnation of Diablo for today’s generation of gaming. Well, that’s excluding the fact that Diablo III is currently in development, so technically it would be the Diablo of this generation. Nevertheless, you get my drift. The intro sequence is kind of cool, if you’re into the whole big-battle, Lord of the Rings type of stuff. The cinematic briefly shows off some of the in-game features in a really snazzy way, especially in regards to the character classes. Combat, however, has been exaggerated for the purpose of selling the game, but that’s what gamers come to expect from intro sequences. Still, for those interested in an action-RPG that has nothing anime-ish about it, feel free to check out the intro below. The game is currently available for Windows PC and it will soon be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles in February of 2009.
