Everyone's favorite anthropomorphic dog detective and hyperkinetic rabbity thing are coming to Wii in less than a month. The first season of the episode adventure games series Sam & Max will arrive on the console on Oct 7th. We've got details on a special pre-order deal as well.

Pre-ordering the $30 game through GameStop will also net you a bonus CD with the usual goodies: a behind-the-scenes "making of" featurette, trailers, concept art, a soundtrack sampler and desktop wallpapers. The bonus CD won't cost you anything extra so hey, why the hell not?

Sam & Max Season One is a six-episode, comedic adventure game in which Sam, dog detective, and Max, psychotic rabbit, must solve a series of cases involving former child stars, a hypnosis cult, a Toy Mafia, and many other ununusal foes. The Wii version will introduce widescreen support, as well as a tutorial for those of you not used to adventure games.
