Section 8 New Website And Screenshots For PC And Xbox 360

SouthPeak Interactive recently announced that the re-launching of the Section 8 website is underway and to commemorate this achievement they released some new screenshots for the game. And as the headline states, these are shots only for the PC and Xbox 360; no PS3 screens because a PS3 version has yet to be developed.

So is it possible that a PS3 version is still on the way with exclusive content? Of course it’s still possible. However, SouthPeak is probably going to gauge the success of the game on the PC and 360 before moving forward with a PS3 rendition.

Speaking of the PC and 360, the new website offers up so insightful content for gamers interested in this sci-fi shooter. The website also details how PC/360 gamers can participate in the upcoming beta for the game. According to the press release…

“Like the game, the new site offers visitors a glimpse of the galaxy in the midst of interplanetary war. It features a variety of content, such as exclusive fansite kits, screenshots, art, cinematic trailers and descriptions of weapons and vehicles from the game. Visitors can get in-depth info on Section 8’s unique burn-in mechanics, numerous deployables and dynamic combat missions. Content also includes the latest news on the game as well as a chance to pre-order it.”

Sounds like a snazzy site. Now I’ll be honest, at first the game seemed cool and then I seen some gameplay demos and it looked like crap and then I seen some more footage and some cinematics and the game looks cool again.

The problem with the first in-game demos was that there was no music, few characters on the screen and some generic looking gameplay (no vehicles were present either). But with all the features of the game put into play (the way it's supposed to be) the entire concept looks quite spectacular in action.
