One of the main selling points of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, if you can't tell from the title, is the game's shiny high-def graphics. Today cdv Software sent out a load of screenshots showing off that feature.

cdv Software is the PC publisher of the game so these screenshots are from that particular version and might not be completely representative of the Xbox Live Arcade iteration (to be published by Majesco). Still, Serious Sam HD is a remake of a game from 2001 so I'd imagine the 360 can run it just fine. Both versions are being developed by Croteam, the folks who made the original Sam.

The PC version of Serious Sam HD is due later this fall. Xbox Live Arcade will receive it toward the end of the summer.
