Shattered Horizon Soundtrack Explored In New Video InterviewAuthor: William Usher

For the first time in a long time the gaming community will be pleasantly surprised with a video interview that’s not really a video but actually a text-based interview with the game’s soundtrack playing in the background. Different? Very much so. Futuremark Studios had a chat with Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen and discussed the innovation behind Shattered Horizon’s soundtrack, which you can view (and hear) right here.
Kaarlonen is the composer for Futuremark’s zero-gravity FPS for PC. He works with Poets of Fall, the same band who worked on “The Late Goodbye” for Rockstar’s Max Payne and he also worked with doing a few cues and sound effects for the famed shooter. Now that the “Captain” is working with Futuremark and their high-end multiplayer shooter, you can definitely tell that the guy has some serious music talent under his belt. The music score that plays in the background of the interview sounds epic, with the description “Space opera” suiting the theme perfectly. The game and its visual and audio aesthetics also strangely remind me of BioWare’s Mass Effect. Anyway, you can check out the new video interview for Shattered Horizon’s soundtrack below.
