Last week Nintendo Power revealed that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a "reimagining" of the first Silent Hill game, would be coming to the Wii. It's not a Wii exclusive, though.

According to a Konami press release sent out this morning, Shattered Memories will be released for the PSP and PS2 as well. The only difference between the versions indicated in the release is the controls. The Wii version will have players using their Wii Remote to control a torch (their light source) and cell phone( their user interface). The Wiimote will also be used to manipulate puzzles. The PSP/PS2 versions will use the traditional face buttons for all this.

The press release also mentions that the game will have a new soundtrack by series creator Akira Yamaoka and "a psyche profile element, which monitors every aspect of player’s reactions – from where they explore first, items that have been examined, and their reaction to those they meet." This psyche profile will then alter the main character's actions though no specifics on that. Shattered Memories will be released for all three platforms in Autumn 2009.
