There's another big survival horror game coming to the Wii besides Dead Space: Extraction. The latest Nintendo Power issue has revealedSilent Hill: Shattered Memories for the Wii.

"This is a reimagining of the first Silent Hill," said producer Tomm Hulett in the article (thanks, GoNintendo). "It’s not a remake or a port. That’s an important distinction. It really feels like a new game."

The game is optimized for the Wii remote and the puzzles involve less backtracking than older SH games. The article also mentions that "your answers actually affect how the game unfolds" and "your behavior throughout can determine when you’ll meet certain characters, which scenes you’ll witness, and a variety of other factors." Interesting, if sort of vague.

There's no mention of when this game will be released. Maybe during the 2009 holiday pile-up?
