Joymax finally got off their lazy arses and pulled out an update for Silkroad Online, and it includes a new Fortress War scenario and holiday events. Now if only someone can prod them into updating DarkEden and Deco.

Anyway, according to the press release…

The Legend IV Plus: Hotan Fortress update brings a number of other changes to the game, including an improved Fortress War system, limited-edition Glacial Avatar armor, and a refreshed Magic Pop system.

In addition to that, from December 15 to January 12, 2010, players can participate in the Winter Story Event which sees players going on a grand adventure to acquire Snow Flakes and trade them for snazzy items. Players can also participate in the Goodbye 2009 Event, which sees writers submitting or sharing the best times they had in Silkroad Online for 2009. Winners will receive 10th Grade Sun, Moon, and Star Seals.

Now if only someone could convince Joymax to get rid of all the bots slowing down the servers, or the speed-hackers in DarkEden and then it’ll all be golden.
