Ironclad Games' real-time strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire is getting its first microexpansion, Entrenchment next week. Ironclad's just released a new trailer featuring the expansion's new content to get you pumped up for the release on February 25th.

As you can guess from the name, Entrenchment offers new defensive options to players. The $10 digital-only expansion adds starbase defense platforms (for defending planets/mining platforms), power/range upgrades for turrets, mine fields, and a Subspace Inhibitor platform to slow enemy fleets.

Entrenchment was originally intended to be a November release but was pushed back so it could be put through a public beta. Two other unnamed micro-expansions are said to be in development as well - no ETA on those yet.
