Entrenchment, the first expansion to Stardock's PC strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire, has been delayed. Its target release date was a mere week away but now it's been pushed into next year.
"Originally slated for release on November 18th, Entrenchment will first be put through a public beta test for pre-order customers. This will allow us to finely hone Entrenchment ahead of its final public debut, the date of which has not yet been set (it will largely depend on beta feedback)," Stardock Director of Publishing Brian Clair said in an announcement on the game's official forums.
Entrenchment is the first of three planned micro-expansions to Solar Empire. As the name implies, this particular expansion will add new defensive capabilities to each faction in the game via new units and upgrades. It will be sold via Impulse, Stardock's digital distribution platform.
