EA Black Box's Skate 2 has added a new area for players to test out their kickflips, grinds, jumps and whatever the hell else you skating types do. This new premium downloadable content is now available through PSN and Xbox Live.

The DLC includes the skate plaza that will be featured in the upcoming MTV show Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory as well as some of the surrounding downtown Los Angeles area. The price tag is 400 Microsoft Points, or $5. It's the same amount you may have paid last month to unlock everything in the game.

“I’ve been involved with the Skate franchise since the very beginning and each game has been able to perfectly capture the culture and feel of skateboarding,” said Dyrdek, who actually appears in the game. “I can’t wait to give players a taste of the Fantasy Plaza, my dream skateboarding space. The team at Black Box has recreated the plaza in Skate 2, complete with all the ledges, gaps and rails. On top of all that, there’s still a lot more surprises outside the park that both gamers and skaters will enjoy.”

I'm completely incompetent at Skate 2 but find it pretty entertaining despite this. For more information on the game, check out Blend Games' review.
