A complete mission walkthrough has been released from United Front Games for the upcoming open-world action title, Sleeping Dogs. The game is looking absolutely amazing and the seamless transition from melee combat to gunplay to chase scene is about as sexy as Kim Basinger with a syrup-dipped strawberry.

The more Square and UFG show off Sleeping Dogs the more it makes me question just what the heck Activision was thinking completely tossing this title out into the garbage? It's an awesome looking game and seems to appropriately fill the void in the action genre that mixes some of the open-world outrageousness from games like Just Cause 2 as well as combining some of the naunced aesthetics and gritty detail featured in titles like Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto IV. The results of the aforementioned combination gives you a sleek, cinematic action romp as showcased in the video walkthrough below.

If you weren't impressed with that then I don't think there's any hope. From what was on display it was hard to pinpoint any actual flaws with the game. I imagine there will be villains who scale with the progress of the game to make combat, vehicular chase scenes and shootouts more challenging, as the bad guys in the video seemed to be about as weak as Brock Lesnar going against Alistair Overeem. Nevertheless, the basic foundation of the game seems to be streamlined better for transitions than both Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto.

You can look for Sleeping Dogs to launch for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on August 14th. You can pre-order the game right now for the console of your choice or visit the Official Website to learn more.
