Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Sneaks Out On Feb. 5
At E3 2011, the team at Sanzaru announced that it had taken over development for the Sly Cooper series following a test run giving the PS2 games an HD upgrade in the Sly Collection for PlayStation 3. Now their first original game in the series is nearly ready to play, as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time has been given a Feb. 5 U.S. release date.
The news was made official through the PlayStation Blog in a post that provided a refresher course in all of the other details surrounding the game. For starters, Thieves in Time will be available on store shelves for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita day and date with the digital PlayStation Network releases of the game.
And let's not forget about the cross-buy promotion, which makes a digital PS Vita version of the game available at no extra charge for anyone who picks up a retail/digital copy of the game for the PlayStation 3. Seeing as how some enhanced game features utilize both the PSV and PS3, that's a pretty sweet little bonus right there. Oh, and then there's the fact that you're getting two copies of the game for the price of one. That's pretty cool, too.
Finally, a few pre-order bonuses were shown off for Thieves in Time, which include a Sanzaru Monkey Para Glider for Sly, a camo glider, and Murray's “undercover ultimate outfit.
In case you need a reminder of what the newest Sly game looks like in action, here's one more gander at the recent Gamescom trailer for you to enjoy.
If all of that sneaking around in costumes, leaping from rooftops and smacking baddies with a cane looks like a good time to you, then add Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time to your watch list for Feb. 5. That's perfect timing for those who still don't know what to do with that Christmas check you got from grandma.
