505 Games and Rebellion's upcoming third-person World War II shooter, Sniper Elite V2, is not your typical run-and-gun game. In a new trailer, the developers continually reiterate that if you run-and-gun you will die...very quickly.
So if you can't run-and-gun how do you kill people in Sniper Elite V2? You snipe them. The new developer documentary trailer shows how observing your opponents, planning an appropriate measure of action and then executing that action is the best course to take in the game.
Rebellion has been on a bad streak of game releases lately. Many of their titles have been really under par, including their recent Aliens Vs Predator game, which was about as schlock-ridden as those awful cash-in movies of the same name. The company wants to replenish some sort of credibility to their name and they seem to be aiming to do so with Sniper Elite V2.
Based on the video above do you think Rebellion Entertainment is on the right road to recovery or still wallowing in the dredges of Failsville? In my own humble opinion, I'm just going to wait and see more of Sniper Elite V2 before making any snap judgments but the concept for the game at least seems decent.
