Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator Hirokazu Yasuhara recently joined Namco Bandai Games America after years at Jak and Daxter studio Naughty Dog. What's he up to these days? He's working on another mascot.

"We are in the midst of making Pac-Man come back because his 30th anniversary is in 2010 actually," said Namco Bandai Games America EVP and COO Makoto Iwai in an interview with Gamasutra. "As a group, we feel like we should do something to make him come back. So, there's one project that we started working on, and [Yasuhara is] part of it."

No other information on this new Pac-Man was revealed. Gamasutra will be running the full interview soon so maybe we'll have more details then.
