With all the news swirling around about Warhammer Online and Wrath of the Lich King, it's easy to lose track of the other MMORPG's in development. Another big game in the works is DC Universe Online, and we've got some new screenshots courtesy of Sony Online Entertainment to share.
As the name suggests, DC Universe Online is an MMORPG set in the universe of DC Comics. Players will create their own heroes and villains and assist or battle famous supervillains or superheroes. About eighty of these comic book characters have been confirmed. The screenshots show some of these characters (Lex Luthor, Bizarro Superman etc.) fighting on the streets of Metropolis against what appear to be player characters.
DC Universe Online has no specific release date yet but it's due sometime in 2009 for PC and PS3.
