Spec Ops: The Line VGA Trailer Was In-Game Footage

published: 2009-12-26 12:32:58
I’m sure Activision is really shaking in their boots now, as Modern Warfare could easily be dethroned as the visual king of modern military shooters now that a 2K Games producer has confirmed that the debut trailer for Spec Ops: The Line at the 2009 VGAs was all in-game footage.

In a post by 2K Games Producer over at the official 2K forums, he stated that…
While we don't have a target render video out there, we do have an early CG trailer you might have seen (with the sandstorm sweeping through Dubai, shattering the building facades and so on). Rather than set the graphical bar, though, that video was designed to capture the mood and atmosphere of the game. Having seen the gameplay trailer we used to announce the game, you can see the in-game visuals already look quite a bit better than the CG, especially the characters.

Let the seizures of fanboygasms begin. And just in case any of you forgot just how intense and awesome the trailer is, be sure to check it out right here.

Spec Ops: The Line is due out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in fall 2010. It’s a long wait but I’m sure it’s going to be worth it if the debut trailer is anything to go by. For more info be sure to visit the Official Website.
