Splinter Cell: Blacklist Box Art Will Shoot And Stab Store Shelves
The official box art for Splinter Cell: Blacklist has been released by Ubisoft. It shows the younger-looking Sam Fisher about to attack an unseen enemy.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the first game in which Fisher isn't voiced by Michael Ironside. He's been replaced by actor Eric Johnson. In addition to voicing Fisher, Johnson is also performing motion capture duties to make the character look more realistic.
Although Fisher looks a bit younger in this game to fit the new actor, Blacklist isn't a reboot. Instead, the game directly continues the storyline from Conviction. The covert agency Third Echelon has been dissolved by the President. It's been replaced by Fourth Echelon, led by Sam Fisher. In their first major assignment, the new agency must face a group of terrorists intent on performing several attacks on the United States.
Blacklist will arrive worldwide in August on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. Pre-order customers have a choice between the Standard and Collector's Edition.
