Splinter Cell: Conviction Gets New Release Date

Last month Ubisoft broke a few hearts by announcing that Splinter Cell: Conviction had been delayed from February and April. Now we know exactly when in April to expect it.

According to the engraved stone Ubisoft sent to IGN, the new release date is April 13th. The implication is that this new date is "set in stone." Oh, I see what you did there. You know what would've been a better way to convey that message? By actually releasing it on April 13th.

Conviction was initially going to be a holiday 2007 release (I wonder what they engraved that release date on) but there were a couple bumps in the road. Has the prolonged development resulted in a great game? We'll find out in a couple months.
