A new interview was conducted with the Splinter Cell: Conviction creative director, Maxime Beland, in which he talks about new details on the gameplay and mechanics of Conviction. The interview comes from GameTrailer’s at this year’s Tokyo Game Show and unveils a few new surprises for the latest Splinter Cell game.

While multiplayer is still under-wraps one thing that was revealed is that some of Sam’s old gadgets will be making a return, including his three-option night/vision/heat sensing/thermal goggles.

The interview and trailer showcases a bit more of the Last Known Position and Mark and Execute features, which seem to make Sam Fisher act out more like Jack Baur than the old Sam from previous games. Heck, he even tortures bad guys like Jack in a few of the clips.
