Today Square Enix sent out the first screenshots and trailer for Chaos Rings. It's a new RPG coming exclusively to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

"We challenged to the possibility of iPhone / iPod touch as a game platform through this game," said producer Takehiro Ando on the game's Facebook page. "I guess you'll find this game is as same, or may be beyond the quality of other game platforms."

The characters were designed by Yusuke Naora. He previously served as art director on Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X. The visuals in the screenshots and trailer certainly reflect that.

"The game is almost fully developed and we are doing a last adjustment right now. I'm sure I can deliver it to your device soon," said Ando.
