Paramount Digital Entertainment announced today that their interactive arcade game of Star Trek D.A.C is now available for purchase and download across Xbox Live Arcade. The game features top-down arcade action in fast-paced matches that is suited for single-player pursuits or in multiplayer modes that include deathmatch and co-op play.
“Fans of the new ‘Star Trek’ film can now experience the excitement that made the movie a worldwide sensation in their own living rooms through fierce Star Trek: D-A-C multiplayer battles,” said Tom Lesinski, President of Paramount Digital Entertainment. “Rather than retelling the story of the blockbuster film, Star Trek: D-A-C lets gamers boldly go into deep space on Xbox LIVE Arcade and seize their own intergalactic triumphs.“
The game allows players to pick from a variety of Starfleet and intergalactic spaceships as they do battle in space arenas. Three ships are available to play per each faction, so there should be at least one ship decent enough for every player out there. The multiplayer allows for up to 12 players to duke it out in team combat and there are three modes of play, including: Team Deathmatch, Assault and Conquest
The game is currently available for Xbox Live Arcade for only 800 Microsoft Points. Fear not dear PSN and PC users, as Bad Robot Interactive and Paramount Digital Entertainment have not abandoned you. The game will be available later this year for the PlayStation Network and PC.
