Casting director, actor, and film-forte man, Chris Marazzo, confirmed in an e-mail that Star Wars Battlefront 3 has been picked up and is still in development. This all started when the heads over at Battlefront3.net were tipped off that Chris was working on the project and might be able to provide a few leads on some material regarding the game.

After confirming that Battlefront 3 had somehow evolved into the little known Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption game, he stated in the e-mail that…

“…Battlefront 3 is also in development. It was by far the Most Fun and Coolest Casting I ever worked on.”

Thank you Battlefront3.net for uncovering that bit of news. I’m sure fans were getting a bit worried…and yes, I was getting a bit worried. Anyway, the good news doesn’t end with that morsel of information.

Marazzo also mentioned that he would try to get them some storyboard artwork from the game, which will probably put the aggregators on fire once they land online.

For those of you who don’t remember, BF3 alpha footage was also leaked months ago during the closing of Free Radical Studios. So at least we know Lucasarts didn’t scrap anything.
