Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.7 Arriving Tomorrow, Check Out The Launch Trailer Now
Tomorrow BioWare will release the Game Update 1.7 for Star Wars: The Old Republic. This patch will introduce two big new features: Galactic Reputation and the Relics of the Gree event.
Galactic Reputation provides players with a new progression system. By performing quests, they can earn reputation with different in-game factions. As they advance through the six reputation ranks for each faction, they'll have access to progressively better rewards. Reputation is shared by all characters in a given Legacy, so you won't have to do the grind all over for each character.
The Relics of the Gree event sends players to Ilum to explore an ancient starship. Here, players will find highly advanced equipment. They'll also encounter a powerful new enemy at the center of the vessel. The event will run until February 26th, but BioWare says it will return periodically throughout the year.
To celebrate Update 1.7's impending release, BioWare sent out a new trailer. It shows off a minute-and-a-half of footage from the Gree event.
