Last week's Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer revealed that the MMORPG will allow players to be bounty hunters. This week, BioWare has unveiled a new website devoted to this player class.

The website has screenshots and short video clips of the bounty hunter in action. Based on the overview text, it seems that bounty hunters are primarily affiliated with the Sith Empire; I suppose that means that the Galactic Republic faction won't have access to the class? Maybe the Republic will have some sort of "good" counterpart to the bounty hunters, just as the Jedi are the flip-side to the Sith.

Bounty hunters' strength comes through their arsenal of high-tech weaponry and gadgets. The mini-clips show a hunter utilizing a blaster, jetpack, and wrist-mounted flamethrower to defeat foes. He's rocking some snazzy Boba Fett-like armor, too.

This is the first class that BioWare has officially revealed for the game, though Jedi Knights and Dark Jedi are a given. Past updates on the SW:TOR website have previewed two of the game's planets, Tython and Hutta. It's surprising to see so much information on a game that doesn't even have a release date yet but MMORPG's are huge by design so there's a lot of information to dole out to gamers.
