I’ve never been a huge StarCraft fan (cue the boos), but that doesn’t mean that game isn’t intense, fun and strategically mind boggling. While Blizzard may be taking their sweet precious time on the game, they’ve decided to keep gamers in the loop for some of the new features and functions of the races and classes, with their very in-depth Battle Reports.

The latest Battle Report sees the associate game balance signers, Matt Cooper and David Kim, going head-to-head in some break-neck, real-time tactical combat using the Zerg and the Terran.

The second entry in the Battle Report series is really cool, whether you watch the HD video or hunker down and read through the transcript. Primarily, the match unveils some new strategies gamers can employ using both the Zerg and the Terran.

One of the things that really turned the tide of the battle is when Kim (playing as the Terran) employed the use of some aerial combatants, namely the Banshee and NightHawk. This enabled the Terran a huge advantage over the Zerg at one point and you could definitely say that it shifted the tide of battle, greatly.
