StarCraft II beta participants will have a couple more months to prepare for the full game's release. Activision revealed the exact release date for SC2: Wings of Liberty today.

Wings will hit the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on July 27th. Soon after the game hits stores, Blizzard will begin to offer it digitally as well. As was previously announced, you can purchase it in two flavors: standard and collector's edition.

The game includes the full multiplayer component as well as a solo campaign for the Terran faction. The campaign, starring SC1 protagonist Jim Raynor, is 29 missions long. "Challenge-mode mini-games" will be included with the game, too, and they're said to help you prepare for multiplayer.

The Zerg and Protoss campaigns for StarCraft II will be added in expansion packs. Blizzard previously estimated that those packs, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void, will be released in eighteen-month intervals.
