Do you enjoy things that are pretty? If you answer that with a, “no,” then this is the wrong story for you. Blizzard has just put up two spanking new screenshots of Starcraft 2. These aren’t your ordinary run of the mill screens though. Well, they don’t show much…so in that aspect they are quite commonplace. But the pure beauty in the hi-res versions is eyeball piercing in its glory.

If you’d like to see the images for yourself you can head over to Blizzard’s official Starcraft 2 website. What we have to the right is a poor imitation of what can be seen over that way. Starcraft 2 will feature the Protoss, Terran and Zerg battling it out in an all-new 3D engine developed by Blizzard. Online play will take place through Battle.net, which is being enhanced to give players an even better RTS experience than the original.

We’re not sure when Starcraft 2 is going to ship, but it can never be soon enough.
