State Of Decay Trailer Showcases Building And Construction

The next big step in zombie survival games is more about adding social survival aspects to these games; giving players the option to build up communities and structures to help the process of survival. The newest trailer for State of Decay briefly showcases the construction toolkit and how players can turn a zombie wasteland into a new beginning.

For those of you who don't know, State of Decay is the latest in “realistic” zombie-survival games to get announced, following the massive success that is DayZ.

The trailer is barely over a minute long and keeps it simple so that players have an idea of what they can expect from building and constructing things in State of Decay. Check it out below.

Now before you go, “Whoa, this wipes the floor with DayZ!” take note that the standalone release of DayZ will also have construction, so yeah. The biggest difference is that State of Decay will be a single-player focused experience with an actual story and an objective in rescuing and protecting as many civilians as possible, where-as DayZ is more like “These murderous bandits keep trying to murder me and these zombies keep trying to eat my legs and all I want to do is survive!!!” cue three hours of in-game running and hiding, and incessant real-life heavy breathing.

State of Decay is scheduled to release for the Xbox 360 and PC. The game is in production over at Undead Labs and is being published by Microsoft Game Studios. You want more info? Be sure to pay a visit to the Official Website.
