Capcom will be delivering the promised Championship Mode downloadable content to Xbox 360 and PS3 owners on Friday, April 24th. The free content enables players to participate in online tournaments and upload match replays.
There will be five different grades of tournaments to allow players both good and sucky to participate. Tournament wins will earn you Grade Points (GP) that enable you to enter into more exclusive tournaments. Winning a tournament will get you Championship Points (CP). The amount of CP awarded by a tournament depends on how much GP the participating players have.
The 5000 players with the most CP will be able to upload replay videos of their tournament matches. PS3 owners will be able to vote on replays and they'll be ranked accordingly. While Xbox 360 owners can't vote, they'll be able to download these replay videos. When watching these downloaded videos, they'll have the option of seeing the exact button presses that the on-screen combatants used.
