You’d think that gamers would be getting tired of remakes, reboots and retellings of classic series, but that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case over on the PlayStation 3. Sony has released its monthly sales figures for February and leading the pack on the PS4 is none other than the ninja-tastic blast from the past, Strider.

That “everything old is new again” trend continued on the PS4 with both Thief and Tomb Raider making the top sellers list. The rest of Sony’s platforms boast an eclectic blend of new titles, old titles, hot DLC and more. It serves as a nice microcosm for the games industry itself, showing that a variety of genres continue to thrive from both the AAA and indie scene. In other words, it’s a pretty great time to be a gamer, no matter what console you’re playing on or what types of games typically float your boat.

We’ll provide our usual summary of the new sales lists but, as always, you’ll want to head on over to the PlayStation Blog for full details.

The PlayStation 4 is finally starting to see a few more games release as the console moves further away from its initial launch. Four new titles made their way to the top five for Sony’s new home console this past month with Strider leading the charge. Thief debuted at number two on the month, followed by Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. It looks like quite a few gamers decided to fill out their next gen fighter library, as Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition held down the fifth spot.

Over on the PlayStation 3, gamers are getting creative with Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition in the number one spot. Castle Crashers randomly stormed the top five in the number two spot, followed by GTA V, Midnight Club Los Angeles and Call of Duty: Ghosts rounding out the top five.

Vita gamers joined Goku and company with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z for Sony’s latest handheld, followed by cooperative demon slaying game, Toukiden: Age of Demons. Dustforce made an appearance at the number three spot, followed by Gunslugs and the rebooted version of Tempest, TxK.

The PlayStation Classics collection began with Bully in the number one spot, followed by Manhunt and the (apparently never slowing down and for good reason) Final Fantasy IX.

The Warriors came out to play in the number one spot for the PSP last month, with Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy fighting its way to number two and Final Fantasy Tactics warring with the Lions in the number three spot.

Finally, the ever-growing PlayStation Mobile market was dominated by Sola apps last month with the top four spots being held down by Sola Weather, Calculartor, Radio and Calendar respectively.
